Jamaican Fare

While millions of Americans spent hours cooking hearty and I’m sure – delicious turkey and roast beef dishes for Christmas dinner, I spent hours cooking a few mouth-watering Jamaican favorites.  Christmas Dinner at my house consisted of the following:

Curried GoatSteamed Cabbage & Carrots

Rice and PeasAckee and Saltfish

Curried Goat – Now most Americans react with horror to the idea of eating goat meat but I don’t mind, since some of them are the same people who adore lamb and I personally find the taste of lamb to be quite horrible.  All I can say is, don’t knock it until you’ve tasted it.
