Dragon Lady was my first story that was set in this particular universe. It was published in an online zine (that no longer exists) a number of years ago and can now be found in the Short Stories section of this site. If you have been following the current series-in-progress, Wildish and Pandora’s Lament, you may have noticed mention made of the vampiric noble, Andromeda Five. You can get a clearer glimpse of this character in the short story, Sweet Belladonna - which was published by Kissed by Venus in January of this year and can now also be located in the Short Stories section of this site.
Dorian’s Quest, which somewhat precedes Pandora’s Lament is a complete work and will be made available for download and paperback purchase in the near future. For those of you who are both familiar and comfortable with the concept of YAOI anime/manga Fandoms, Dorian’s Quest is already available for online reading in the Fiction section of the aarinfantasy.com forum.

DISCOVERIES (Speaking of horizons...)
A few days ago Milton Davis, author of the MEJI (Sword and Soul) novel series, sent me a link to Expanded Horizons, a speculative fiction ezine on a mission to “increase diversity in speculative fiction and to create a venue for the authentic expression of under-represented voices in the genre.”
This is so right-up-my-alley I’m thoroughly suprised that I hadn’t happened across this wonderfully eclectic publication before. I’ve been looking through their past issues and I’ve already come across some well written and interesting pieces of fiction. Who knows? Maybe one day in the not-so-distant future, I’ll manage to hammer out something worthy of submitting too.

Week 4 of the Women in Strange Places “Nine Weeks of Strange” brings us The Distance Between Here and Space. I was pleasantly suprised to find this spoken word brand of sensual storytelling a poignant, captivating and very smoothly orchestrated piece of work.
