Baraka is probably one of my favorite films of all time. I remember watching and being taken aback by how unexpectedly mind blowing it was. Baraka is remarkable. There are no high tech special effects, no big box office hooks. There are just images and and sounds from the world we live in. Today.
The video above incorporates scenes from Baraka with the ethereal, chaotic music of Gordiev Jazol. It’s a presentation that begs us to stop and take a moment to look at the world, listen and allow our minds to touch to the pulse of our planet. It makes the earth seem eerie, fascinating and alien.
